Nobody really kniows when or how silk was invented but according to legend a ruler named Huangdi told his wife to go see what was eating their mullberry bushes. And when she got there she saw silk worms wrapping them selves in silky cocoons. I would have screamed and ran away from the worms but the girl didn't so she discovered silk. The girl was named Xiligshi and she ran back to her husband to show him her discovery. Then they started making silk. I'm glad she did because I love my silk pajamas.
I wonder what would have happened if she didn't see the silk worms or never went to see what was eating their mullberrys. That would suck if silk was never found or invented.
